Procession in Nairobi on KWS Endowment Fund

Kenya Wildlife Service and other partners in tourism and conservation stakeholders  on Saturday, July 17, 2010 Held a street procession in Nairobi to publicise the KWS Endowment Fund in the lead up to its official launch this week.

The Fund’s main objective is to provide a sustainable and consistent source of funding for wildlife conservation and its habitats to benefit present and future generations. The fund is meant to cushion conservation from fluctuations in funding due to unreliable tourism revenues owing to travel advisories, drought, political instability,  climate change and other vagaries.

The procession will started from 9am at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre through Parliament Road to Uhuru Highway and ended at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.
