Welcome to Kenya Wildlife Service Flooding subsides, all roads passable in Lake Nakuru National ParkDate Published: 06 Dec, 2011
Tourists visiting Lake Nakuru National Park are reassured that the flooding which had adversely affected parts of the popular park have since subsided and all roads are now passable. A number of the park’s bridges and roads had been made impassable owing to the heavy rains that have been experienced in the Mau Forests Complex and its environs in the last couple of days. The main circuit from the main gate around the lake shore through baboon cliff, Muya’s causeway, Lake Nakuru Lodge, Sarova Lion Hill Lodge, Wildlife Clubs of Kenya and Lanet gate has remained safe for driving. The Kenya Wildlife Service Emergency Management Unit is closely monitoring the situation to ensure no persons are at risk and will keep the public updated on any developments. |
