New educational facilities at a school in Nyahururu County

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Board of Trustees chairman, Hon. David Mwiraria, recently commissioned the construction of new educational facilities at a school in Nyahururu County. Manguo Primary School, situated in a high human wildlife conflict area, benefitted from the construction of additional classrooms, modern flush toilets and piped
water costing Sh.2.9 million. Accompanying the chairman was the area MP. Mr. David Ndiritu, Ag. Deputy Director Wildlife and Community Service Mr. Benjamin Kavu, Assistant Director Community Enterprise Development Ms. Munira Bashir and the MountainConservation Area Assistant Director Mr. Robert Njue, among other invitedguests.
The provision of educational and health facilities is part of the KWS community outreach goal of fostering partnerships with communities who interact and host wildlife on their lands.
