KWS hosts National Defence College international students

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) 1st December, 2011 .Hosted a team of 14 National Defence College Faculty and international course participants.
The participants were drawn from Botswana, Burundi, Egypt, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, South Sudan, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Nigeria and Zimbabwe.
The aim of the visit was to familiarise participants with the role played by tourism-based organisation such as KWS in the nation’s economic growth and how such industries contribute to national development and security.
Mr Julius Kimani, a Senior Assistant Director in the Security Division, made a presentation focusing on KWS mandate and role, the Kenya Wildlife Service mandate and roleof wildlife in development, KWS security role, keyachievements, challenges and constraints, facing the Future – KWS 2.0 and conclusion.
