Newly appointed KWS Board of Trustees formally introduced

The newly appointed Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Board of Trustees was on Tuesday, October 29, 2011 formally introduced to the KWS top management at a meeting at the headquarters in Nairobi.  Hon. David Mwiraria was re-appointed as the board chairman by the President Mwai Kibaki, to serve another term of three years.
In a Kenya Gazette Notice last month, the Minister of Forestry and Wildlife, Hon. Noah wekesa, appointed Ms Patricia Awori, Winnie Kiiru, Adil Khawaja, Ian Craig, Nicholas Ole Kamwaro and Margaret Mwakima as new members of the board.

Hon. Mwiraria thanked Hon Wekesa, for the appointments terming them as professionals who had the spirit of conservation at heart and whose record speaks for them.The new board members will serve for a period of three years with effect from October 28, 2011.
