KWS ranger shot dead in Isiolo

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) regrets to announce the death of ranger Noordin Farah in circumstances that are still unclear and are being investigated.
The ranger based in Isiolo was shot dead by a colleague June 13, 2012 evening at 7.30pm at Isiolo KWS station. The suspect, another KWS ranger, surrendered himself to the police and is helping with the investigations.
The family of the deceased was informed of the tragic incident. The body of the ranger was flown to his home in Garissa and has been buried.
Police scene of crime officers visited the area of the incident and are continuing with investigations.
