Wildlife Service Training Opportunities 2006
The Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute (KWSTI) is one of the training
arms of the Kenya Wildlife Service located in Naivasha about
80 km from Nairobi. The Institute provides specialized training
in Natural Resources Management in an effort to enhance Conservation,
Management and Sustainability of Wildlife Bio-diversity in
Kenya and Globally. It offers training for Certificate and
Diploma in collaboration with Universities, International
and Local NGOs.

Duration:
All Diploma Courses are 18 months (divided into 4 semesters)
and includes field attachment. All applications must be
received by 15th May 2006.
Minimum
Admission Requirements KCSE
grade C- (minus) or its equivalent with good passes in English,
Mathematics, Biology, Physical Sciences, Geography and other
related subjects.

Minimum
Admission Requirements:
Tour
Guiding & Wildlife Sanctuary Management: KCSE Grade
D+ or its equivalent with good passes in English, Geography,
Social Sciences, Biology and other related subjects. All
applications must be received by 15th May 2006.
International
Course on African Wetland Management: Experience in Wetland
Management and preferably a B.Sc. in any Natural Resources
Management Course or Environmental Sciences. All applications
must be received by 15th August 2006.
NB:
Special Full Board Accommodation Rate is available for
Non-Sponsored Kenyan and other East African Students. Tuition
Fee is inclusive of Field Training Programmes. Application
forms are available at a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000
for East Africans and US$20 for non-Kenyans. Interested candidates
are requested to send their applications including photocopies
of academic testimonials and some identification to the undersigned.
