Commonly seen in open plains and scrubland, this attractive animal is famed for its astounding agility when escaping predators, having been recorded to jump a distance of 35 feet and over 9 feet into the air. They usually graze in either bachelor herds of bucks or in harem herds of up to 100 individuals.
